The Parkers Prairie EDA strives to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for the Parkers Prairie community.

Economic development benefits everyone!  Our goal is to encourage new businesses to open in our community, adding jobs and economic stability to Parkers Prairie.  When we grow our economic base, the need for housing increases, which in turn adds students to our schools, provides more income to our existing local businesses, helps the community attract new businesses, adds to the City's overall tax base, and makes Parkers Prairie a better place to live.

We work to help potential new business owners or developers identify available locations to build and lead them to resources for grants or incentives that may help them achieve their goals.  We encourage existing businesses to be successful and grow, and support the development of new housing.

A few things that Parkers Prairie has to offer:

Work Force - Parkers Prairie boasts a work ethic that is second to none, and a skilled labor force drawn from neighboring communities. While agriculture is still a big part of who we are, there are many skilled workers in technology, manufacturing, health care, and education.  There are businesses already in place providing goods and services to the Parkers Prairie community and beyond.

Community Support - Not only will you experience financial support from local lenders, but you'll also feel the support and enthusiasm of the people here. We want you to succeed, grow, and expand because it benefits all of us.

Police, Fire, and Ambulance - Our community of about one thousand people has its own police department, volunteer fire and rescue department, and ambulance service - all staffed with individuals dedicated to providing outstanding service.

Recreation - Outdoor fun is abundant here. Escape to any of the hundreds of lakes within a half-hour radius of town.  Parkers Prairie is home to Lake Adley, where fishing is amazing year-round.  Relax at Lake Adley Park and make use of our public fishing pier and boat access.  Enjoy great hunting while in season.  Hike or bike on our paved trails.  Plan a family get-together at our City Park and Aquatic Center Swimming Pool.
