Drought Warning Restrictions

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources drought warning for the state of Minnesota. In accordance with the MN DNR Drought Plan, the City of Parkers Prairie has placed a ban on non-essential water use beginning July 23rd. These restrictions will be in effect for the City of Parkers Prairie until the drought warning has been lifted. Prohibited watering includes: watering of lawns, washing of buildings, driveways, sidewalks, or parking areas, washing of cars (except for commercial businesses)
Acceptable watering includes: watering of fruit and vegetable gardens, watering of flowers or newly planted trees, necessary use of water to protect public health, safety, and welfare.
